Rider-focused, mounted & unmounted personal training, clinics, and classes

This might surprise you...

Riding more doesn't always fix riding problems or increase your confidence in the saddle.
When you focus on your body and build a better foundation in yourself, you have better body awareness and cleaner movement patterns that make your loyal companion very happy.
It changes how your horse moves, what your horse feels, and the communication between you.
The tension you may not even know you hold in your body is felt by your horse in your aids and communication. Cleaner movement and breath in you calm both of your nervous systems and bring more clarity for both of you.
Riding is your fitness routine. You don't train movement outside of your activities.
You know you need some work out of the saddle, so you do exercises to strengthen your "riding muscles".
Your back aches, or your shoulders are tight.
You have some level of anxiety or fear in the saddle.
Your feet go numb in the stirrups.
You rely on your hands more than you'd like to.
Your lower leg feels unstable.
Even stirrups feel off.
Your trainer repeats the same cues ride after ride.
You have a hard time relaxing your hips and pelvis to follow your horse's movement.
The good news? You can rebalance your body out of the saddle to be stronger and more balanced in the saddle.

Today's lifestyles work against having a balanced and resilient body—breath, posture, joint health & mobility.
What works against having a body that is balanced and resilient also works against your sport & longevity.
"Riding muscles" get worked every time you ride. You may even be creating overly short and tight muscles by targeting them. You need to restore movement patterns and have a routine of regularly rebalancing your body.
A weekly visit to the chiro is great, but it won't address the dysfunctional movement patterns that keep you coming back for adjustment after adjustment.
How you spend your time shapes how you move. Knowing how to restore and keep your body in balance has an enormous impact on riding and the rest of your life.
You can't override your body's default patterns unless you train them strategically. So, when your trainer sounds like a broken record, you have muscles that always need stretching to feel good, let this be your sign.
In riding, what you can relax on command is just as important as the muscles you can recruit. You can't recruit muscles that have become short and tight from chronically tensing them.
If you already experience pain, let this be your sign!
Equestrian Body Rebalancing
Around here, everything is designed to strengthen the foundation for your riding. Every training session, clinic, and class not only improves your riding but also makes you more resilient, allowing you to move and ride with confidence and ease for many decades to come.
💪🏻
FOUNDATION FIRST
Most programs for riders target the muscles used for riding rather than identifying and restoring movement patterns. This can create tension & dysfunction. I assess what you need and help you restore and get strong with a longevity perspective.
This is how you become a balanced, injury-resistant rider.

THIS WORK MAKES FOR HAPPIER HORSES
The focus is on how you move, what strategies and compensations you have that affect your foundation for functional movement. Every plan is tailored to how you currently move, the discipline you ride in, your posture, and your daily habits to develop clear, effective cues.
When you move & breathe better, your horse does too!
🙌
NERVOUS SYSTEM & LONGEVITY-FOCUSED
How you train today affects how your body functions and feels decades from now. Good training works with your nervous system; it doesn't burn it out. The goal of every session, clinic, or class is better movement, posture, breath, and confidence in and out of the saddle today and for decades to come.
Because the best off-horse work gives you more life in the saddle, not more to recover from.
Better communication, happier horses, healthier riders
