I know it seems like if you work harder on your form and follow the cues the pros say on repeat, you should be able to move like a rodeo clown dodging a bull—and walk away without a scratch. (Okay, maybe not the best analogy. But have you seen those guys move?)
But the reality is, we all develop habits that lead to crappy movement patterns. And one thing most people are pretty lousy at? Breathing.

Here’s what we’ll dive into together during this hands-on, 2-hour workshop:
ASESSMENT
The workshop starts with an alignment and posture check so you know exactly where you're starting from and we’ll revisit your alignment at the end of the workshop so you can see what has changed.
Then we’ll assess your breath—so you can understand your go-to strategies and whether they’re helping or hurting.
We’ll also look at how you stand and how that’s affecting the way you move. You’ll even learn about your jaw and tongue position and what they mean.
BREATH & POSTURAL POSITION
This is where you’ll learn how you should be breathing—and how to get from where you are to where you need to be.
You’ll get clear on what should move, what shouldn’t, and how to release the tension that’s been getting in your way.
Then you’ll learn “The Stack”—how to align your ribcage over your pelvis so your breath and posture are in the optimal position for breath and core function..
BREATH IN CORE AND MOVEMENT
This is where the rubber meets the road. Take what you learned and practice how to use it for real life.
It starts with connecting the breath to the core. You can expect to learn some new core exercises that turn on your core without crunches.
Once we have connected your core and breath, we are going to take that into basic human moves like the squat, hinge, lunge, push, and pull.
This section of the workshop is based on and modified for your needs.

HEY, I’M RACHEL!
Here to (re)ignite your passion for movement.
With 25+ years in the fitness world, I've seen it all. From the eyebrow-raising fads (shake weights anyone? 😂) to the over-complicated workouts and fleeting quick fixes. My goal? To offer you a fitness experience that's a breath of fresh air—programs that not only challenge and change your body but also ignite your passion for movement.
I have designed Move Better 30 to enhance your look *and* elevate how you feel. THAT’S the power of movement that matters. I was sick of seeing fitness programs packed with false promises, and "quick and fast" results but never ever focused on teaching people how to move well and create a solid foundation before doing more advanced and intense workouts that people just aren’t ready for. So I created my own.
I'm here to create a movement in fitness—to focus on what really matters: building a solid foundation and progressing you from where you are in a safe and appropriate manner that gives you sustainable results for the long haul.
I fill my programs with joint-loving, pain-free movements that make you feel like a freaking superhero (no cape required). And that's my promise to you in Move Better 30—that you'll build the foundation you need to get the best results for looking and feeling fantastic long-term.

This program is designed to prime your body to move optimally. We will spend more time on things in the beginning as you are getting used to how to do them. As you become more proficient, some workouts become as quick at 10 min. Some workouts feature exercises that can take up to 8 minutes each and could be up to an hour in length.

This program is designed to create more space in your joints for movement, so, yes—technically it is a mobility program, but it is much more than that.
Mobility is one component of a strong foundation. It also covers what your body needs to maintain healthy joints for the rest of your life as well as more traditional strength components.
This program creates the foundation I wish new clients had when they first come to me. It makes everything we do going forward more effective and more enjoyable. -
It will be as challenging as you make it. Your effort can be adjusted to make the exercises more challenging and the exercises are versatile and can also be modified to work for you in more or less challenging ways.

Many of the exercises in this program do not need any equipment. Some exercises would work better for you with props like yoga blocks, books or towels.
However, it is recommended to have dumbbells for some of the strength exercises in week 3. We will discuss how to determine what weight is best for you inside the program!
